Vineyard: We harvested 1.84 tons of Mission from a historic site in Sonoma Valley on September 8, 2020.
Vintage: After a dry winter there was a March frost event in the middle of an otherwise warm spring. With reduced canopies and yields, the summer months were nicely temperate leading up to an eventful harvest climate. Mid-August heat was followed by uncharacteristic rain spells, which led to a quick early harvest. Temperatures cooled back down in mid September for gradual ripening of the remaining fruit. Low yields and reduced berry sizes allowed for great color development and texture in the 2020 wines.
Cellar: Native fermentation started on September 9th 2020 and was pressed after 24 hours on skins. Aged in stainless steel for 7 months.
